Job Description
Glimpse of the Job
Join us as a Program Coordinator II - Community Health Worker for the Texas A&M Opioid Prevention for Students (TOPS) program. In this role, you'll manage administrative tasks, coordinate educational campaigns, and engage with the community to create a lasting impact on the lives of Texas youth.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience : Four years of related experience
Licenses / Certifications : Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) and / or Community Health Worker Instructor (CHWI)
What you need to know
Salary : Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.
Schedule / Travel : This position may require up to 25% or more travel and the flexibility to work beyond normal office hours and / or work on weekends.
Location : This position can be located in College Station, McAllen, Abilene, San Antonio, or El Paso.

Some of the Responsibilities Include :
Program Coordination : Collaborate with the Community Health Organizer to expand knowledge of youth opioid prevention community resources and service programs, provide logistical support to plan community events, provide appropriate support / information on opioid prevention awareness and education, attend program meetings, assist in program meetings / training sessions, identify funding opportunities, and assist in strategic planning and establish goals.
Community Engagement and Training : Complete training in the TOPS K12 opioid prevention education program and train community partners in the curriculum, engage with school and community decision-makers to promote the TOPS initiative, deliver community opioid prevention awareness campaigns, collect data for opioid prevention awareness and education programs, and prepare monthly reports to track the progress of program activities.
Stakeholder Relationship Management : Conduct site visits to monitor TOPS activities and provide ongoing support, engage with high schools and key decision-makers to ensure program milestones are achieved.
Reporting and Administrative : Maintain daily activity logs regarding client activity, travel destinations, and other program-related activities, perform routine reporting of all program activities to monitor progress toward achieving program milestones, oversee daily fiscal and purchasing activities.
