Duties
Align IT initiatives with the command's strategic objectives and operational outcomes to ensure readiness, operational efficiency, and mission outcomes.
Design and integrate cyber strategies outlining the organization's mission.
Promote awareness of security issues among management to ensure sound security principles are followed.
Implement comprehensive IT policies and strategies for enterprise architecture and technology employment.
Ensure plans of action and remediation are in place for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
Guide the integration of emerging technologies to meet mission-critical demands while ensuring compliance with DoW strategies, IT policies, and standards.
Facilitate enterprise IT planning to enable cutting-edge warfighting capabilities.
Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel on the security risk assessment process to address privacy compliance and risk mitigation.
Evaluate subordinates' performance and recommend education, promotion, or reassignment actions.
Coordinate with organizational manpower stakeholders to ensure appropriate allocation and distribution of human capital assets.
Supervise civilian personnel and military members.
Review and recommend selections, promotions, and training opportunities for personnel across multiple divisions.
Monitor the development and dissemination of policies related to cyber and data-informed enterprise IT operations to make key decisions regarding strategic policy and resource allocation.
Track the planning, programming, and execution of organizational resources to ensure alignment with budgets and funds.
