Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a closely related technical field required; advanced degree (MBA or a related technical field) preferred. 12 or more years of progressive experience in program management, engineering program leadership, or operations within a hardware, manufacturing, or advanced technology environment, including several years leading a program management organization at the director level or above. Demonstrated experience leading complex technical and hardware programs from development through commercial production; energy systems, aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial equipment strongly preferred. Demonstrated record of driving execution, accountability, and cross-functional coordination across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and transitioning products from development to commercial production. Experience at a hardware-focused startup, having built or scaled program management processes and organization from the ground up in a resource-constrained environment, required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with government or defense program requirements preferred. PMP or equivalent program/project management certification preferred. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred. Experience presenting program status and reporting directly to a CEO, executive team, or board preferred.
Job DescriptionThe VP, Program Management leads our customers Program Management Office and owns program strategy, planning, and governance for the company's most complex technical and hardware programs as our customer scales the KARNO generator from development to commercial production. This position builds and scales the systems, processes, and organizational discipline required to keep hardware programs on schedule, on budget, and on spec. It partners with senior leaders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to translate strategy into executable plans, surface risk early, and drive cross-functional issues to resolution. As a member of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO, this position advises executive leadership on program risk and execution status and shapes strategic and operational decision making at the enterprise level. The position is accountable for embedding a culture of accountability, discipline, and cross-functional coordination across the organization
