Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $83,000.00 - $126,875.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to : scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
What you will be doing
Job Description : Administrative Research Manager
The Administrative Research Manager, in the Department of Radiology and Imaging at Hospital for Special Surgery, integrates a diverse range of responsibilities, fulfilling the roles of a research manager and patient care coordinator, supporting the MRI Laboratory and Department of Radiology and Imaging research initiatives and is compliant with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements.
Educational requirements : Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree desirable
It is expected that the Administrative Research Manager possess the following skill set :
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in coordinating with principal investigators and additional research staff at HSS, collaborating institutions and industry, and in working closely with all HSS staff, including supervisors, directors, technologists, registrars, MR schedulers, radiology fellows, and referring orthopaedic clinicians and their staff.
- Exhibit excellent organization, communication, and attentiveness to detail.
- Possess a working knowledge of scientific language and the scientific process in a clinical and basic science setting, as well as the ability to assimilate complex language specific to MSK orthopaedic imaging, biochemistry, MR physics and tissue engineering.
- Demonstrate initiative, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, anticipating departmental needs.
- Patience, sensitivity, and professionalism in addressing the questions and concerns of patients and their referring clinicians and helping to coordinate the care for patients both within the MR department and follow up visits.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a busy and fast-paced department; frequently multitasking while minimizing error and maintaining the excellence expected at HSS.
