Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical or other invasive procedures. Responsibilities : Perform both scrub functions and handling of instruments and supplies used during complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient during cardiovascular procedures. Assist operating physicians and anesthesia with accessing and maintaining lines and intubation during cardiovascular procedures. Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration : Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required : Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education : Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
