Database Administrator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support mission critical systems within a secure, onsite environment in Richardson, TX. This contractor role is essential to maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of complex database infrastructures.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related database technologies, along with experience supporting tools such as the Atlassian Suite, Cameo / Teamwork Cloud MBSE, SolidWorks, and GitLab. A strong background in database architecture, optimization, and secure system administration is key.

A formal degree is not required, though a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field is preferred. Relevant hands on experience is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high availability, scalable database systems.
• Administer and optimize SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other database environments.
• Manage data storage, indexing, and retrieval for mission critical applications.
• Support and integrate databases for tools including :

o Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence)

o Cameo / Teamwork Cloud MBSE

o SolidWorks

o GitLab
