We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our client. This role is pivotal to our financial operations, providing strategic leadership and oversight to our accounting and financial functions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a particular focus on the construction industry.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A / R, A / P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

Job Details

Qualifications :

• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Advanced degree in Accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• 5+ years of experience with end-to-end accounting process.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and a team player.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
