The Role
The Programmatic Ops Specialist is an integral role within BuzzFeed’s Programmatic Sales and Ad Operations team, and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution and performance of our programmatic business.
This role will be tasked with providing high quality customer service as well as helping to maximize programmatic revenue & yield.
This role can be based in either New York or Los Angeles.
You Will
Setup and manage PMP campaigns across all clients, platforms & technology partners. Provide pre- and post-sales support to the sales team.
Advise sales team on programmatic best practices. Pull audience data and research why BuzzFeed provides a good alignment for an advertiser.
Analyze market trends and reporting to provide thoughtful and applicable data & insights.
Provide guidance on best tactics (targeting, ad sizes and formats) for specific goals & KPIs. Develop insightful reporting for PG campaigns and top spending PMPs to drive renewal.
Create strategic media plans in response to RFPs; work with the inventory team on avails for understanding sell-through and high-performance inventory, along with content packages, native ad units, and data solutions across BuzzFeed's portfolio.
Develop strategies to identify top spending open auction clients and PMP clients and upsell to higher spend levels. Improve PMPs & serve as client contact for any troubleshooting or performance issues.
Long-term goals for this role :
- Track recurring deal issues and communicate trends to team leads
- Work with Product team for additional features & capabilities that will help achieve the goals of our programmatic partners
- Maintain working knowledge of our needs of specific advertiser markets (Auto, Entertainment, CPG)
You Have
- 2+ years of digital media experience with at least 1 year of direct experience in the programmatic media ecosystem
- Deep knowledge of Google Ads Manager and SSP platforms and tooling is a must.
- Proficiency with Excel, as well as Keynote or other presentation tools.
- Strong analytical mindset
- Experience in a client-facing role
