Position Summary
The Human Resource Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department and serves as a key point of contact for employees and applicants. This role supports a wide range of HR functions including recruitment onboarding employee records management benefits administration and compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented customer-service focused and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of Human Resources operations.
- Support pre-employment processes including coordinating and administering pre-employment testing and screenings for both staff and faculty.
- Compile prepare and maintain accurate and confidential employment and personnel records including Gold files.
- Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and programs.
- You must understand the work permits and visas required for the employees specific role and nationality.
- Maintain and update Human Resources vendor lists.
- Track process and reconcile HR-related invoices and assist with payment coordination.
- Support the planning coordination and execution of organizational events.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training programs by coordinating schedules preparing materials and tracking participation.
- Support compliance with applicable policies procedures and employment regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

The hourly rate range for this position is $28.18 - $30.00 . When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education / training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.
