Project Manager, Center for Digital Equity

Job Description

Summary : The digital divide is a multifaceted challenge encompassing technological, structural, and social dimensions. Access to the internet and digital resources is a critical factor in addressing digital inequalities, particularly among older adults.

The Project Manager will focus on designing, developing, and deploying a comprehensive program to bridge the digital divide for older adults across North Carolina with a concentration digital health literacy.

The project aims to enhance their digital health literacy, access to online information, and overall quality of life. The Project Manager is housed in The Center for Digital Equity at Queens University, a backbone organization for a collective impact strategy bringing together residents, public, and private sector partners to co-create solutions allowing every resident the opportunity to thrive in our modern culture.

This is a full-time benefits eligible position and is expected to continue through September 30, 2024.

This position reports to the Program Director for the Center for Digital. This position is exempt from provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible to earn overtime pay for hours worked above 40 in a single work week.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :

• Organize and facilitate a series of in-person and virtual convenings with key stakeholders to uncover insights using design thinking principles.
• Lead discussions and guide teams to answer critical questions related to asset mapping, project partner identification, and alignment with stakeholder needs.
• Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their continued involvement and commitment.
• Analyze outputs to formulate an effective project approach and strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive project toolkit, curriculum materials, and train-the-trainer resources.
• Manage ongoing feedback loops with stakeholders, refining project components based on input received.
• Foster collaboration with partner organizations to ensure a holistic and impactful development process.
• Coordinate the training for preidentified project partners, equipping them to deploy initiatives within their respective communities.
• Establish and manage feedback mechanisms to capture lived experience feedback from participants and partners.
• Utilize feedback to continuously improve project components and enhance community impact.
• Prepare a comprehensive summation report at the conclusion of the deployment phase, outlining findings and proposing future scalability strategies.

Non-Essential Duties :

Other duties and special projects may be assigned to meet department and / or university needs.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required :

• Previous experience in project management, community engagement, or program development.
• Strong understanding of digital inequalities, digital health literacy, and challenges faced by older adults.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging stakeholders and producing reports.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple phases of the project simultaneously.
• Comfortable with technology and digital tools necessary for remote collaboration and communication.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, social sciences, or a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
