About the role

The Senior Product Manager will support the decarbonization of the retail food market by helping to define new and innovative technologies and business models.

You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, supporting go-to market strategy, customer immersion, customer requirements, and overall product strategy, roadmap, and vision.

You will collaborate closely all key functions and our development organization to deliver the product to market. This position reports to the Managing Director, Commercial Refrigeration North America.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate with stakeholders and explore new market opportunities, translating business goals into creative solutions.

In collaboration with strategic marketing and finance performs market analysis, opportunity sizing and business case development

Drive execution of strategic priorities, product strategy and identification of new opportunities

Develop go-to-market strategies to take products from ideation to scale

Drive Build, Buy, Partner approach and decisions for products within purview

Lead value validation via testing new solutions with customers and leveraging additional feedback through VOC, customer advisory boards and other external engagements

Lead customer engagement to understand their needs and pain points, and clearly define strategies and use cases for addressing those needs in the market

Oversee and provide input into the creation of product roadmaps

Lead efforts to maintain awareness of and champion on-going sustained competitive differentiation

Help create product messaging architecture with inputs from sales, PMs & Marketing, Communications and other key functions

Articulates product features & benefits aligned to customer needs and value propositions

Help develops product focused materials for sales & customer service (sales tools, playbooks, training), working closely with Marketing Communications

In collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Communications on supports Product launch management, post sales engagement and sales development programs (up-sell, cross sell, promotions)

Design objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team of product managers

Collaborate with product development management on the product development process and technical resource allocation.

Represent VOC insights and findings to drive product development and lifecycle management decisions

Get buy in from commercial leaders and stakeholders

Facilitate cross-business sharing of opportunities and best practices

Build and enhance important internal and external relationships

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

7+ years product management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Industrial product management experience

Passionate about understanding customer problems and jobs to be done

Customer-centric, market-driven, and inquisitive by nature

Able to rapidly create strong relationships with external and internal partners

Outstanding oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels

Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, be nimble and adaptable, and handle ambiguity

Lead by example, and not afraid to get hands dirty. Someone who can immerse in details when necessary, but maintain strategic perspective as well.

Solid foundation in quantitative and qualitative research methods

Strong analytical, strategical and creative problem solving skills

Business, financial and technology background and acumen

Focus on results and outcomes

Effective communication with key stakeholders and influencing skills to gain alignment and support

Visionary, entrepreneurial mindset, passion for innovation and drive to create business impact

Understanding of how new technologies can shape companies, innovate and deliver growth

Business owner mentality, willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary

Proven experience releasing software and hardware products to market successfully

Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace

The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
