Department : Engineering
Reports to : Quality Manager / Engineering Manager / Production Manager
Consults with : Quality / Engineering / Production
Overall Responsibility : Creating and maintaining Supplemental Work Instructions and aiding in production
Compensation : $20-25 / hr dependent on experience. Great opportunity for growth and advancement dependent on performance.
Hours : 6am-2 : 30pm M-F
Must be a U.S. citizen per ITAR requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Work alongside engineers to design and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Work alongside production to take photos and notes of production processes to create supplemental work instructions (SWI)
- Editing, verifying, and maintaining existing instruction documents as needed
- Consult with engineers, collect and input data, and track progress on engineering projects
- Create, draft, or edit 3D CAD models for production, production tools, prototypes, gauges, templates, etc.
- Requires working hands-on with manufacturing work force
Required Skills :
- Able to work in a collaborative, team environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and 3D printing software and hardware preferred
- Knowledge of GD&T and common machining practices preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
- Comprehension of process sheets.
- Proper use of safety equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
