ACADEMIC LEADER AND PROFESSOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE Academic leadership and faculty position with primary responsibility for leading (a) the University's programs in computer science and related fields, and (b) the components of the core curriculum that seek to develop the computer and digital competencies of all students. The candidate must be available to work and teach face-to-face in Puerto Rico.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREDPh.D. or terminal degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Programming, or related computer or technology fields, from a well-known and accredited institution. If the degree is from an institution outside the United States, the candidate must provide the official , drive, and experience to lead the development of the University's programs and core curricula in computer science, digital applied technologies, and related fields, and to promote collaborations between these programs and the University's programs in other disciplines. Academic and professional experience preferred in projects related to arts, design, communications, public health, or data visualization and analysis. Significant academic work in the field and significant teaching experience in a variety of learning modalities, including online or virtual settings.Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, including the effective use and integration of systems, programs, and technologies to improve student learning outcomes. Proven ability to design and assess curricula, courses, and co-curricular experiences, and to use the results of student learning assessments for continuous improvement.
