Description :

Eliassen Group has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Developer III - Senior Java Web Application Developer to work remote. In this role you will work with our organization to support a US Government client which is a critical public health platform that disseminates public health-oriented data through a robust web application.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain an active Public Trust clearance.

Rate : $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities :

• Implement improvements to the CDC WONDER web application, including modifying and maintaining complex HTML forms and Java server-side coding that creates and executes complex database queries.
• Actively communicate with team members regarding assigned tasks.
• Take ownership of tasks and develop clear and actionable plans to complete them in a timely manner.
• Identify and refine acceptance criteria, and develop and perform unit tests, integration testing, and regression testing.
• Document procedures, code, workflows, and activities as required.
• Attend and participate in various meetings to support CDC Wonder.
• Assist in Data Modernization efforts, which may include containerization, code refactoring, source control migration, and implementation of Azure Data Factory and other Azure Services.
• Be available and responsive during core business hours.
• Submit monthly status reports on activities and deliverables.

Experience Requirements :

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match.
