We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a highly collaborative manufacturing and engineering environment focused on commercial HVAC products. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who enjoys solving complex electrical challenges, developing innovative control solutions, and supporting products from design through production.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, controller development, manufacturing support, and HVAC systems while demonstrating a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical troubleshooting support for manufacturing and production operations.
- Investigate and resolve electrical, wiring, and control system issues affecting production and product performance.
- Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical documentation for commercial HVAC equipment.
- Design, program, test, and support controller systems and related electrical components.
- Specify and size electrical components, including:
- Electric reheat systems
- Wiring and cabling
- Heating elements
- Electrical power components
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to support customer requirements and product improvements.
- Interface directly with customers to address technical electrical product concerns and provide engineering support.
- Support testing and validation activities, including flow stand operations and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and engineering records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience troubleshooting electrical systems and controls in manufacturing operations.
- Experience creating wiring documentation and electrical schematics for commercial HVAC products.
- Hands-on experience programming and developing controllers and control systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical component selection, specification, and sizing calculations.
- Experience working with UL and/or ETL safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Commercial HVAC industry experience.
- Experience with LabVIEW programming and testing environments.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and manufacturing validation processes.
- Experience using CAD and engineering documentation software.
