Position Description:

Position Summary

The Document Control / Training Lead will oversee MSR-FSR’s document control and training systems to ensure compliance, accuracy, standardization, and operational effectiveness. This role is primarily responsible for managing the controlled documentation, including review, approval, revision, distribution, retention, and archival of Operating Procedures (OPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Safety Instructions (SIs), Competencies (CPs), Training Plans (TPs), forms, and related quality system documents.

The position serves as the primary point of contact of the document control process and systems, ensuring controlled documents are current, accessible, properly maintained, and aligned with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating document revisions with cross-functional teams, maintaining revision history and traceability, removing obsolete documentation from use, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement of document management processes and systems.

In addition, the role manages employee training systems and records, administers the training system of record, and supports the development and maintenance of training matrices and skills management processes to ensure employees are trained and qualified to current procedures and requirements. The Document Control / Training Lead partners closely with Quality Director, Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Production teams to support compliance, audit readiness, workforce competency, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the MSR-FSR document control system and related procedures.
  • Ensure controlled documents are reviewed, approved, issued, revised, and archived in accordance with established processes.
  • Coordinate document changes and revisions with department owners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate revision history, document traceability, and retention records

· Oversee and maintain the employee training system.

  • Support continuous improvement activities related to documentation and training processes.
  • Support compliance with applicable standards and regulations (ISO, customer-specific, regulatory, etc.).
  • Participate in audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality Directory, Engineering, Production Team, and other departments to ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

Job Experience / Requirements:

· 3+ years of experience in document control, records management, quality systems, or
related field.

· High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

· Strong understanding of document control principles, quality systems, and training
management systems.

· Work in direct conjunction with the Director of Quality to ensure all aspects of the Quality Management System are met on an ongoing basis.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel, Power-point and Word.

· Be self-directed, adaptable and maintain a positive attitude in response to workplace change.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills
