Job Summary : The Manager, HR Shared Services provides leadership and support to the shared services team members and ensures inquiries are accurately addressed in a professional and timely manner. This role provides various operational Human Resources support such as onboarding new hires and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements and regulatory standards.

Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Licensure, Registration and / or Certification : None.

Work Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in a related customer-service oriented environment including 2 years in a leadership level role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Proven knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, and governing state and federal laws and regulations. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software applications. Effective Interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Established critical thinking and analytical skills with experience in conflict resolution. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on improving efficiency and resolution metrics. Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and build strong relationships with team members.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Supervises day to day activities of team and new hire onboarding activities including processing background checks, license verifications, I-9 management, credentialing, and immigration requirements. Researches discrepancies revealed through background checks and drug screening, coordinating resolutions with impacted parties. Assists in the deployment of a broad range of defined human resources processes and practices within the organization. Manages HRIS system requirements and enhancements, working with IT team members to improve processes to expand the employee experience; assisting employees with the self-service functions, as needed. Ensures accuracy and completeness of workforce information in Human Resources Information Systems, including files; conducts audits to ensure completeness and accuracy. Coordinates and helps with various system-wide internal audits and efficiently works to resolve any action items and findings. Works with ServiceNow case management software and uses knowledge base tools to resolve, log, track and escalate employee inquiries and issues. Utilizes defined processes and procedures to provide Human Resources support to employees and helps to determine the appropriate resolution to escalated human resources issues, as needed. Monitors departmental staffing to ensure coverage to receive incoming phone calls and walk-in service, new hire onboarding, and ServiceNow ticket handling. Oversees employee debt repayment for work agreement programs such as scholarship, sign on bonus, trainee, and relocation bonus. Serves as a mentor to develop and guide team members providing direction and support to ensure a high-performance culture within the team.

Decision Making : The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from a supervisor.

Working Relationships : Direct Supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works with internal and / or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
