Job description

Analyst Position at East Daley Analytics

East Daley Analytics is a leading provider of North American energy infrastructure and commodity market insights. Our Equity Research team sits at the intersection of energy fundamentals and financial markets. We translate real-world systems into company-level financial outcomes that matter to investors.

Our work is used in live investment decisions and discussed directly with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers at major investment banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds. If you want accelerated reps, high standards, and steep learning curves this is the seat.

At East Daley, we move the market. We deliver insights that shape real decisions for the most influential leaders in energy and finance and we do it with speed, rigor, and conviction. We're building the next generation of energy analytics in a culture that values transparency, innovation, and a true play-to-win mindset. If you join East Daley, you won't just support the future you'll help create it, alongside a team that works hard, holds a high bar, and genuinely enjoys winning together.

We are looking for a disciplined, detail-oriented analyst who thrives on independent work and critical thinking. This role requires both technical depth and creative problem-solving to navigate complex systems and abstract concepts. Success depends on the ability to balance speed and precision knowing when to move fast and when to ensure accuracy, even in challenging situations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Translate fundamental drivers into company outcomes (revenue/EBITDA sensitivity, throughput/tariff impacts, commodity exposure)
  • Support forecast methodologies (price hubs, volumes, spreads) and scenario analysis frameworks
  • Partner with senior analysts to refine company-level views that support research, product, and client needs
  • Build and maintain clean workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and QA
  • Create repeatable analysis tools and dashboards; automate recurring processes
  • Develop high-quality, client-ready visualizations that simplify complex systems
  • Communicate technical and non-technical insights to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Support senior analysts in product development, maintenance, and client-facing analysis
  • Contribute to documentation and internal "institutional knowledge" so work scales across the team

Compensation:

Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 plus bonus opportunities

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and reports to Energy Market Team Lead

Benefits:

  • Medical (with multiple plan options), Dental, and Vision Coverage with Company contributions
  • 401K with a 3% Company contribution
  • Flexible and Health Savings Account Options with Company contribution
  • EAP and Wellness Program
  • Life and Accidental Death, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage
  • Unique opportunity for rapid development in energy markets, working directly with senior analysts to build next-generation energy analytics products
  • Meaningful ownership of projects with real-world application; contributing directly to client-facing research and market insights
  • Exposure to live energy infrastructure data, modeling, and analytics used by institutional investors and industry participants
  • Hands-on learning and professional development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with direct mentorship from experienced market professionals
  • Opportunity to build technical, analytical, and industry knowledge within the oil, gas, NGL, and financial sectors
  • We're a collaborative, in-person team and yes, we're dog-friendly! Several team members bring their well-behaved dogs to the office from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated analytical ability through coursework, academic projects, internships, or research experience

  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and adapt to new assignments in a fast-paced environment

Advanced skill set requirement (must have one of the below):

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (financial modeling, dynamic formulas, pivots, VBA) and working SQL exposure
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (pandas/NumPy for analysis; SQL joins, aggregations, ETL patterns)
