Job descriptionMaintain accurate bi-weekly payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data Update payroll records by entering changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions, and saving deductions Gather and examine timesheets to ensure their validity before entering hours into payroll software Capture and process approved annual and sick leave Ensure that compensation for overtime / holiday work is calculated at the appropriate rate and that annual leave is calculated accordingly, if applicable Complete all necessary payroll tasks before the pay run to ensure that staff members are compensated accurately and on time Address queries about payroll-related issues Bachelor’s degree preferred 3 years of related Payroll Experience with ADP Workforce required Knowledge of FMLA, sick time, wage garnishments, and tax withholdings Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy with large volumes of data Ability to communicate effectively with people across all levels / departments

Our client in Boston is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team for a long-term contract. The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience with payroll, has exceptional organizational and time management skills and is proficient in ADP Workforce Now.
Applicants must be able to work a hybrid schedule in Boston to be eligible for this role.
