- The candidate would perform development using Oracle as backend and some basic front end on .Net and browser-based platforms to develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals and ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
- Contributes to story refinement / defining requirements.
- Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story / requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Performs spike / proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement / story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
- Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues / errors; Triages the underlying cause.
- Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Oracle SQL / PLSQL
- Strong knowledge in Oracle database Design, Query and tuning.
- Strong foundation understanding of database concepts and development technologies.
- Extensive SQL and PL / SQL experience required.
- Experience designing tables, data analysis, writing queries (SQL and PL / SQL), performance tuning, and table partitions.
- Authority on Oracle PL / SQL development and Oracle Performance tuning.
- Proficiency with Unix / Linux Shell scripting (Korn Shell (KSH), BASH, etc.).
- Must have strong PL / SQL skills and must be proficient with Oracle; T-SQL / SQL Server skills are nice to have.
- Hands-on experience in database development with efficient SQL, performance tuning and debugging skills.
- Working knowledge on Agile Scrum / Kanban process as a Team developer.
- Knowledge of Finance and Global Markets products – Derivatives, Securities, SFT is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
