Job Description
This position is contingent on contract award.
International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality medical care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with a variety of health concerns. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, patient advocacy, and adherence to regulatory standards within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- A physician assistant or nurse practitioner who practices in conformance with established criteria, guidelines, and agency procedures. Efforts are directed toward the enhancement of the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals.
- Provides health care of a scope, quality, and quantity consistent with agency and policies.
- Performs comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures for patients as required by client policy, or as required for patient medical complaint.
- Coordinates health care needs of patients including referrals to off-site consultants.
- Takes appropriate infection control actions in accordance with client policy and guidance.
- Completes all training as required / assigned.
- Attends on-site, regional, and national meetings as required.
- Participates in the APP Peer Review process.
- Provides direct care to patients via scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visits.
- Consults with the physician / Clinical Director for complex medical and / or psychiatric patients and as required by client policy.
- Provides infirmary care including admission, discharge, and daily rounds for patients that require higher levels of medical care or monitoring.
- Works within and performs functions as outlined in the client Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Scope of Practice and the Controlled Prescribing Scope of Practice for APPs.
- Applies knowledge of drugs and therapeutics when prescribing medication.
- Interprets diagnostic and laboratory results.
- Interprets Tuberculin skin tests (TSTs) and diagnostic studies, manages Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) for treatment of active or latent tuberculosis.
- Adheres to universal precautions and properly disposes of all sharps.
- May serve as medical escort of patients as needed, for domestic / overseas travel.
- Utilizes and documents interpretation and / or translation and / or assisted communication services as needed to ensure ability to communicate with patients or others who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) or have a communication disability or impediment.
- Maintains flexibility and adaptability to sudden changes in schedules and work requirements.
- Provides relevant patient health education to patients verbally and / or with handouts.
- Documents patient care visits in the required health record using required format, in compliance with client policy and guidance.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and confidentiality of medical records.
- Completes all training as required / assigned.
- Serves as Acting Senior Supervisory APP or Acting Regional APP.
- Facilitates and mentors APP onboarding and training.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements / Certifications :
An accredited bachelor's or master's degree is required.
Must possess a certified advance practice nurse practitioner degree from a graduate school training program approved for this qualifying degree.
The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Compensation : Min : $53 / hr Max : $89 / hr
