Software Tester needed : Scottsdale, AZ.
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for an Advanced Test Engineer to work in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a 1 year contract position, and you must be a US Citizen to apply. Required : US Citizenship and Residency, W2 hourly Contract Only, No 1099, No third parties, no C2C. No exceptions (Sorry)
Pay : 60 to $68.25 / hr.
SOFTWARE TESTER
As a Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems. Your contributions will be vital to the success and innovation of the program.

Domain Knowledge :
Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
Tracking mission design knowledge
Satellite communications knowledge
Ground to satellite communication knowledge
Technical Skills :
Experience with system / software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP)
Familiarity with operating systems (, Linux, Windows)
Experience with virtualization technologies (, VMware, Hyper-V)
Systems Design and Integration :
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
Experience with systems design, integration, and validation
Proficiency in requirements analysis and system architecture design
DevOps and Automation :
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
Experience with automation tools (, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Cloud and Infrastructure :

PREFERRED TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and design behavior
Experience with ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
Experience decomposing high-level space-ground systems design into ground software / systems design
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) :
Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw
Programming and Tools Skills :
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling
Cloud Computing :
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
Simulation and Modeling :
Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus
DevOps and Automation :
Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
Experience with automation tools (, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
