We anticipate approval of a hybrid-telework schedule after initial in-office training during the probationary period. A hybrid agreement offers a combination of both work-from-home and on-premises hours scheduled during the week.

When on-premises you will have a dedicated or shared workspace or office.

Training in computer science information technology or system administration or a similar field or professional experience that provided knowledge of systems networking software hardware protocols and scripting / automation tools.

Systems Programmer2

Any combination of education and / or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in :

Training in computer science information technology system administration or a similar field and professional experience in database network or system administration.

Special Note :

Competencies means a combination of interrelated knowledge skills abilities and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation.

Typically gained by means the prevalent usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.

Training means the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction. Please be aware this position requires the use of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN). A security clearance issued by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is necessary to use APSIN. DPS will deny security clearance for any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor in this state or another jurisdiction or who may be a fugitive from justice.
