Job description

Strategic Partnerships Program Manager

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Strategic Partnerships Program Manager, you will lead the development of our data center operations vendor partnerships. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between our operational teams and external partners, defining the standards and operational requirements necessary to scale our sites effectively. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key vendors, managing the lifecycle of these relationships from requirements gathering and contract negotiations to ongoing performance oversight. By quarterbacking these initiatives across internal cross-functional teams and external partners, you will ensure our vendor ecosystem is equipped to support our operational needs and growth across regions.

The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what's possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. Our customers include Googlers, Google Cloud customers, and billions of Google users worldwide. We're the driving force behind Google's groundbreaking innovations, empowering the development of our cutting-edge AI models, delivering unparalleled computing power to global services, and providing the essential platforms that enable developers to build the future.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $188000 - $275000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic vendor relationships.
  • Translate the needs of our front-line managers and regional leadership into clear, actionable frameworks that vendors use to build and train their teams.
  • Lead the end-to-end process of formalizing partnerships.
  • Partner with legal, finance, commercial, and contracting teams to drive RFPs and contract negotiations, ensure our external partnerships are tightly linked to our internal operational needs.
  • Manage the lifecycle of these key accounts.
  • Act as the central point of contact, ensuring vendors stay aligned with Google's evolving technical standards and safety protocols as we scale.
  • Operate with a high degree of leadership, quarterbacking deals across cross-functional teams to create and execute processes that ensure our operational footprint scales efficiently.

Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce that is representative of the users we serve, creating a culture of belonging, and providing an equal employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding), expecting or parents-to-be, criminal histories consistent with legal requirements, or any other basis protected by law.
