Job description

Manager, Technical Enablement

Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the world's manufacturers be more productive, sustainable, and agile. With more than 28,000 employees who make the world better every day, we know we have something special. Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world, provide life-saving medicine on a global scale, and focus on clean water and green mobility - our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better.

We welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work. And if that's you we would love to have you join us!

As the Manager, Technical Enablement, you will join the Global Sales and Marketing organization, leading a team responsible for advancing technical excellence and capability development across Rockwell Automation and our partner network.

You will lead a team of professionals focused on designing, delivering, and scaling technical enablement programs that strengthen product adoption, accelerate technical selling effectiveness, and enhance portfolio competency. This includes ownership of key global programs such as the Early Adopter Program, PowerHour Program, and Hands-on Technical Training (HOTT) Program.

You will work with the Product Business Units, Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams to ensure enablement strategies align to commercial priorities and drive measurable business impact.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, delivering global technical enablement across Rockwell Automation and the partner network while building capability, leadership, and future readiness
  • Define and execute enablement strategies and core programs, including Early Adopter, PowerHour, and Hands-on Technical Training (HOTT), to drive product adoption, technical selling effectiveness, and partner capability development
  • Drive enablement for new product introductions and strategic programs, partnering with Product Business Units to align to commercial release objectives and accelerate early adoption, capturing social proof and demonstrating market acceptance and value
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams to maximize commercial impact at scale, translating enablement strategies into measurable outcomes across the ecosystem
  • Be a trusted advisor across stakeholders, demonstrating broad expertise in the Rockwell Automation portfolio, system architectures, and how solutions deliver customer value
  • Design and deliver scalable learning experiences, including instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on formats, while evolving methods, approaches, and technologies to improve effectiveness, engagement, and reach
  • Establish and manage performance metrics, tracking adoption, engagement, and business impact to guide decisions and improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in enablement programs, applying feedback, performance insights, and modern learning practices to increase scalability and impact

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 20% of the time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, technical enablement, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing or sales-support technical functions, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience with automation systems, architectures, and application use cases across technical and business audiences
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Experience leading technical enablement, training, or capability development programs at scale
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation products, software, and solutions portfolio
  • Experience working with partner or distributor ecosystems

What We Offer:

  • Health Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision
  • 401k
  • Paid Time off
  • Parental and Caregiver Leave
  • Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.

At Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right person for this or other roles.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

Rockwell Automation's hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
