Required Travel :
- Participate in the design, development, and validation process for components.
- Provide product engineering expertise to support quality analysis, supplier development, and plant continuous improvement activities.
- Lead prototype builds.
- Moderate global travel required to carry out supplier visits and customer technical presentations.
- Conduct & champion design related cost reduction activities; coordinate meetings and activities, conduct verification testing, communicate with product groups, follow change procedures.
- Institute problem solving strategies, facilitate quality issues, review & approve inspection reports and report out at meetings as necessary.
- Issue and follow all necessary paperwork / reports for design changes, engineering permits, verification testing, product change methodology sheets and product / material specification changes.
- Design, validate and release engineering drawings that meet customer requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong presentation, organization, and communication skills.
- Able to professionally use MS Office.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience with automotive suspension or air supply systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Able to read and understand engineering prints / drawings.
- Moderate level of hands-on mechanical skill.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, UG, Catia), geometric tolerance (GD&T), and statistical analysis.
- General knowledge of air suspension system operations and functionality.
