Law Clerk
We are in search of a legal superstar looking to gain experience in the criminal defense world in Miami (the city of crime, after all!).
Our office works in entertaining and high-profile cases, ranging from drug trafficking, celebrities, weapons, white-collar crime, etc.
State and Federal), which will allow you to learn tons of cool and helpful stuff (including trial preparation), as well as network with a fantastic group of highly skilled professionals.
This unpaid position could lead to full-time employment for the right candidate, and a small stipend based on performance.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :
1L students welcome (2L and 3L will be considered as well)
Must be local (South Florida) and able to come to the office at least twice weekly
Available at least 20 hours per week (remote work on a minimal basis can be accommodated)
Able to meet with clients at correctional institutions to review discovery or assist with paralegal duties
Legal research skills
Strong writing skills (writing samples are required)
Excellent grammar and punctuation
Great disposition and initiative
Able to be objective and non-judgmental of clients and their offenses
Fast learner
Professional and reliable
Great phone and email etiquette
Great organizational skills
Outgoing and engaging personality
Able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
Able to work well under pressure

Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other legal research tools
Must be able to perform other duties, as required, that will provide educational and training opportunities.

Our office environment is casual and relaxed, but we work hard for our clients. All your clerkship related expenses will be covered (parking etc.
A small stipend may be available based on performance.
