DOCUMENT SCANNING TECHNICIAN
SCOPE : This position produces digital copies of Agency documents for retention purposes and is responsible for ensuring that all physical documentation is scanned and digitally converted quickly and accurately into the storage system. The hours of work will be between : and : Monday to Friday. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and / or skills required.
- Prepare physical documentation for scanning in accordance with file preparation procedure.
- Scanning of documents at production scan station for electronic retrieval and retention purposes.
- Quality check completed scanned documents prior to indexing.
- Highlight any issues to Document Imaging Administrator for resolution.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in line with procedures where applicable.
- Leave work area clean, neat, and organized at the end of each shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
