Dietary Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Tampico Healthcare Center. As a key member of our Nutritional Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our foodservice department, ensuring the highest quality of food, safety standards, and client satisfaction. About the Role:
Responsible for managing the foodservice department, ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures, and federal/state regulations
Provides leadership and guidance to a team of foodservice personnel to ensure high-quality food, safety standards, and client satisfaction
Maintains records of department personnel, income and expenditures, food, supplies, inventory levels, and equipment
Participates in menu planning, inspect meals, and ensures that standards for appearance, palatability, temperature, and serving times are met
Job Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate, coach, and supervise foodservice personnel
Intermediate computer skills and mathematical/numerical skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Current awareness of legislation and regulations influencing the practice of standards of care
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Puts customer service first, ensuring that residents/patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
Maintains resident/patient confidentiality
Abides by established schedule to assigned facilities
Processes new diet orders and diet changes, and keeps diet cards updated
Completes the assigned MDS section according to required timeline
Reviews and develops dietary plans in cooperation with RD and physicians' orders
Additional Requirements:
Graduate of Dietary Manager's Program or 2-yr/4-yr foodservice program
Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
Two years' experience in foodservice management
Prior experience in healthcare foodservice preferred
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy
