This role is ideal for a polished, dependable, and service-oriented professional who enjoys being the first point of contact while providing essential administrative support to keep the office running smoothly.

Location: Houston area, Texas
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr (DOE)

Position Overview
As a Receptionist / Office Administrative Support team member, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional office environment. You will manage front desk responsibilities, support day-to-day administrative tasks, and assist internal teams with clerical and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; take accurate messages as needed.
  • Manage front desk operations, including maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Provide general administrative support such as data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation.
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate conference rooms, and assist with calendar management.
  • Order and maintain office supplies; monitor inventory and restock as needed.
  • Support internal departments with clerical tasks and special projects.
  • Assist with onboarding logistics, visitor badges, and office coordination activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or office training a plus.
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or office administrative support role preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Comfortable using multi-line phone systems, office equipment, and basic office software.
Core Competencies:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
