Job description

Program Supervisor

As the Program Supervisor, you will work closely with the Program Director to lead and support the Supportive Housing outreach team. Your role will focus on empowering program participants to achieve independence and integrate into the community. By employing a strength-based approach, you will guide staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and mentorship to succeed. Key responsibilities include supervising service delivery, monitoring staff performance, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

Pay Rate: $50,000 - $53,000 annually

Open Shift: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm (40hrs), some flexibility required

Design and oversee program services such as assessments, treatment plans, crisis interventions, and implementation strategies.

Ensure all participant files, case notes, reports, and medication records are accurate, complete, and comply with organizational procedures.

Prepare progress reports and maintain HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) documentation.

Ensure timely submission of required reports and oversee program-related financial transactions.

Directly supervise 5-10 staff members, explaining and enforcing policies and procedures.

Provide training, support professional development, evaluate performance, and address personnel issues as needed.

Ensure adequate staffing levels to minimize overtime while meeting contractual requirements.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to address participant health needs and respond promptly to incidents involving participants.

Conduct regular, documented supervision sessions focused on staff and program needs.

Lead effective team meetings to ensure collaboration and goal alignment.

Partner with the MHA Housing Specialist to support participant moves, including the completion of move-in checklists.

Represent the program in community-based provider meetings relevant to supportive housing.

Attend all required training sessions within the designated orientation period and as mandated thereafter.

Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

The Division of Supportive Housing (DSH) provides safe, stable housing and individualized wraparound services for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness, many of whom are also navigating challenges related to substance use, incarceration, or trauma. DSH programs focus on long-term stability and help participants transition to independent, permanent housing. Through person-centered care, housing navigation, and community-based supports, we empower individuals to build a foundation for recovery, self-sufficiency, and a better quality of life.

The Mental Health Association is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
