Financial Analyst

The City of Eugene's Finance Division is excited to announce an opening for a Financial Analyst! Join our Budget and Analysis team, where you'll collaborate with dedicated professionals who support the City's mission through financial stewardship. Exceptional Analytical Skills

• Using exceptional analytical skills, the successful candidate for this role will provide analysis and recommendations to support the decisions of policy makers and manage programs. They will apply strong analytical and project management skills to duties such as budget development, ad hoc reporting, and impact or cost analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in program administration, preferably in the public sector. Six (6) months of supervisory experience is preferred.

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the assigned program area.

Background: Must pass a background check.

Supplemental Information

Non-Represented Retirement Program

Upon eligibility, the City will contribute an employee contribution of 6%, as well as the employer contribution, to a retirement program administered by the Oregon Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS). In addition, the City will pay a 3% contribution to a deferred compensation program if the employee contributes at least 1%.

From January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2034, most retirees may work for a PERS-participating employer for an unlimited number of hours while continuing to receive their pension benefit based on HB 2296. What to Expect from our Selection Process

Applicants are screened based upon their relevant knowledge, abilities, skills, experience, and training. The selection process varies according to the position and can include such things as screening of supplemental questionnaires, written or skill tests, ability or fitness tests, interviews, and assessment processes. In addition, background investigations and records checks may be required.
