Job description

We are working with a growing organization seeking an experienced Real Estate Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support legal matters related to land development and property transactions.

This role will focus heavily on drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing filings, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate law, title work, or land-related legal processes and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents related to real estate and land matters
  • Review title commitments, ownership records, deeds, and lien documents
  • Support legal processes involving property boundaries, land use, and jurisdictional filings
  • Prepare and file documents with local and state agencies
  • Track project status, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Coordinate with attorneys, consultants, and third parties including surveyors and engineers
  • Maintain organized files and documentation for active matters
  • Assist with research and document compilation to support legal review

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a real estate paralegal, title, or related legal role
  • Strong experience drafting and editing legal documents (required)
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions, title work, and land documentation
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience working with legal documentation in a real estate or land-related environment required
