Job description
To ensure that business partner's workforce is staffed optimally by creating forecast and staffing models, providing analytical support for business initiatives as well as market conditions, and making recommendations supporting business decisions. To provide mentoring and coaching to resource planners, and associates.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE TWO OPENINGS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY

Summary

Seeking intellectually curious and highly engaged individuals to join the Personal Investor Workforce Planning Team as Resource Planning Analysts. This role supports the Distribution and S&OE organizations by developing forecasting and staffing models, delivering analytical insights on business initiatives and market conditions, and providing recommendations that inform key workforce decisions. The position also includes mentoring and coaching resource planners and associates to strengthen overall team capability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent workforce planning oversight to multiple mid-size business units or one or more larger business units using strong conceptual thinking and flawless execution. Engage as a trusted advisor, anticipating issues and opportunities.

  • Partner with Workforce Management to maintain full awareness of all scheduled activities, so that the appropriate staffing impact assessments may be completed. Recommendations for adjustments are made, as needed, to ensure optimal operational performance.

  • Complete ad-hoc analysis requests that will support the business department decision making process. Make data driven recommendations to support these initiatives.

  • Initiate and implement workflows and process improvements including projects that have a departmental or divisional scope.

  • Generate driver and outcome forecasts for Vanguard’s inbound call and/or processing departments. Create and maintain forecasting models using both standard and advanced statistical techniques. Leverage data mining and statistical analysis to gain insights into factors influencing volumes.

  • Continually assess staffing drivers (i.e. volume, handle time, shrinkage, and occupancy) relative to plan, create awareness within the business as needed, and make recommendations for any necessary actions.

  • Prepare, in partnership with the business, quarterly budget packets. Analyze actuals compared to forecasts, and make recommendations for change that will put the business in a position for success. Communicate results to senior management. Ensure an open channel of communication with business partners and Finance to create a complete staffing need package.
