The Regional Vice President acts as a span breaker for the Executive Vice President by overseeing the daily operations of multiple markets within a state or in multiple states. The role includes leading and managing a team of direct reports consisting of Market Vice Presidents.

Base Pay : $180,000 - $200,000

This role is for our Southeast market. Candidates located in, or willing to relocate to, the Central or Eastern Time Zones are preferred.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Regional Vice President (RVP) ensures that all assigned markets within a region provide the industry's best customer experience, exhibit a team-driven environment, and achieve financial success. The RVP's major emphasis is to recruit, hire, train and develop a diverse, high-performance team of market VPs and regional business development and sales leaders that deliver on company goals and reflects its values.

  • Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards and leading by example for delivering outstanding customer service and employee experience.
  • Ensures that employees create and maintain a service culture in all markets.
  • Collaborates with EVP to set operational goals and priorities for all market leaders and is responsible for attainment of regional business targets (e.g., revenue, profit, marketing, turnover, and retention).
  • Responsible for the performance management of the region as required to maintain company standards and financial results.
  • Responsible for the hiring and development of the market teams with particular emphasis on leadership positions.
  • Recommends staffing changes, additions, revenue targets for large-scale projects to the EVP and ELT. Provides recommendations and guidance on the regional operating budget and approves discretionary expenditures (within set guidelines) for all markets within the region.

The RVP is responsible for performing the following activities for the region : Planning

Participate and provide input into the development of the regional P&L and operating plan. To achieve this objective, the RVP will :

  • Work with the Market VPs to ensure that they proactively develop thorough business plans. Ensure that the plans are executed with recurring performance checkpoints. (See management section.)
  • Establish priorities and goals, including revenue targets.
  • Create specific regional marketing and sales plans.
  • Identify, plan, and execute office improvements within the area.
  • Provide input to the EVP regarding the regional P&L.
  • Managing

    Set team and individual goals, monitor progress and provide guidance to ensure that regional operational objectives are achieved. To achieve this objective, the RVP will :

  • Oversee all regional projects.
  • Track, monitor and analyze performance goals, standards and regulations for all sites, staff and contractors regionally.
  • Partner with the Market VPs, human resources, and recruiters to prospect new management for each market.
  • Recruit, interview and hire Market VPs, Business Development Manager, and other key positions. Review and provide advice on other key roles within each market.
  • Provide consistent accountability for direct reports through training, coaching, conducting of planning sessions and performance reviews. Recognize good performance and discipline when necessary.
  • Develop direct reports by communicating priorities and equipping the team to achieve results through significant facetime and coaching on sales, business development, project management and team satisfaction.
  • Create Individual Development Plans (IDP) with direct reports on an annual basis.
  • Provide guidance to Market VPs on localized tactics to deliver on agreed upon performance goals, marketing plans and implementation of corporate programs.
  • Monitor and observe projects to ensure execution of customer expectations and adherence to company programs and offer recommendations to Market VPs and leadership teams.
  • Monitor each markets performance.
  • Resolve the most difficult escalated customer concerns.
  • Provide resources and direction to ensure that company policies, employment and human resources policies are enforced.
  • Other duties as assigned, including specialty initiatives, projects or companywide programs that support business needs.
  • Inspiring & Leading Change

    Communicate, lead by example, and motivate the region to understand, develop passion and implement a culture that reflects the corporate image, culture, values and strategy. To achieve this objective, the RVP will :

  • Be visible within the region offices and set the example for providing a great employee experience, customer, and business partner relationships.
  • Inspire and encourage VPs to follow through on customer and employee initiatives.
  • Ensure that BluSky values of enhanced customer experience and employee satisfaction are embedded in the management and personnel of each market.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :

    This role manages the Market Vice President in their assigned region.

  • 10+ years of progressive operations and team management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading strategy initiatives and business development Project management skills.

  • Knowledge of labor relations and employee relations.
  • EDUCATION :

    BA or advanced degree in business or related field preferred.
