Addison Group’s client is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join their team in Washington, DC! The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the communications department in executing communications strategies.

The ideal candidate must possess superb written and verbal communication skills and have in-depth knowledge of marketing trends.

The pay rate for this position begins at $22 / hour.

Job Description :

  • Develop and strategically execute communication plans via social media platforms
  • Implement strategies to reach a broader consumer base
  • Create and post daily social media content
  • Build and improve marketing and promotional materials
  • Increase traffic to our client’s blog
  • Develop relationships with local and national press
  • Build rapport and strong business relationships with our sponsors
  • Edit training materials
  • Coordinate and attend special events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred
  • Must have 1-2 years of content creation experience
  • Must have a strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficiency in Adobe and InDesign is a plus
  • Must be able to work with little supervision
  • Must be creative, proactive, and analytical
