Job Summary
The IT Office Assistant will perform routine duties related to the operation of the Information Technology department including switchboard operator tasks, clerical tasks, and scanning / imaging tasks.
Supervisory Role Oral and written instructions are received from the Director of Information Technology or designee. Duties & Responsibilities 1.
Assist with office functions and activities for the general area. 2. Prepare, process and file purchase requisitions and invoices for the area.
3. Screen individuals coming into the office and direct to the appropriate staff person. 4. Assist with preparing memos, letters and required reports.
5. Promptly and accurately accept and relay telephone messages. 6. Assist College staff in making outgoing calls, and keep records of call by time and name.
7. Supply information requested by caller, and refer inquiries to proper person ordepartment.8. Assist with maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment and determining need for repair or replacement.
9. Assist with the maintenance of the area’s filing system. 10. Assist Records Management area with scanning, imaging and shredding tasks.

- High School diploma or equivalency
- Familiarity with standard computer applications and tools
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment.
