JOB DESCRIPTION : To facilitate and support the Human Resources department efficiently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or equivalent. Secretarial experience is preferred. Ability to maintain files, inventories, and records.

Ability to organize and supervise clerical activities. Knowledge of and experience with computers including word processing and spreadsheets.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide general secretarial / clerical services for the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with scheduling retiree meetings and preparing retiree worksheets.
  • Create supplemental positions to process electronic personnel action requests (ePARs) and prepare supplemental contracts for distribution to staff ensuring proper processing through the payroll department.
  • Provide assistance in routine departmental / office activities and scheduling.
  • Maintain a system to record and file documents required by District, State, and / or Federal agencies.
  • Assist with the maintenance and preparation of budget(s) by gathering and compiling necessary data.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of performance pay as appropriate.
  • Provide support and maintain records relative to the recruitment and retention of staff as directed.
  • Disseminate, to schools and departments, information related to human resources functions.
  • Provide support with maintenance of records relative to the district staffing and compensation, supporting in the preparation and distribution of contracts as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SALARY : Twelve-month position, beginning salary Level 33, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.

EVALUATION : Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
