At the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), we convene decision-makers, advocate for the retail industry, and promote operational excellence and innovation.

Our aim is bold but simple : to elevate a dynamic industry by transforming the environment in which retailers operate.

We seek a Digital Design Coordinator i nterested in elevating our processes, organization, and member experience. This is not a job but a professional journey.

The position's responsibilities will come naturally if a candidate has the proper foundation of skills and an eagerness to learn and be part of a fun and talented team.

There are challenges and changes along the way, but we have a team eager to face them all together.

As one of our in-house creative service experts, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visually compelling graphics, web layouts, and marketing materials that align with our organization's branding and marketing strategies.

A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, passion, excitement, an eye for detail, and a solid creative vision.

  • A top-tier communicator with both written and verbal skills.
  • A commitment to customer and staff service.
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Good understanding of professional web design, digital media, and print design practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of video development and proficiency in using video editing software is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and evolve.
  • And the most essential skill of all - "figure it out."

A preview of position responsibilities :

  • Conceptualize and actualize impactful graphics tailored for both digital and print mediums, spanning websites, social media, advertising materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Engage closely with the marketing team to grasp design requisites and harmonize them with the brand identity and overarching marketing objectives.
  • Work with creative services staff and department content managers on website content / graphic updates, site improvements, and design standards.
  • Support process documentation and establish process flows to cross-train internal teams.
  • Track and analyze the performance of design pieces (emails, ads, etc.) to determine best practices and future changes and improvements.
  • Deliver innovative design and creative ideas to push the boundaries of digital content.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree and / or related work experience is necessary.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience managing multiple creative projects (digital assets, web, design, print, video, events / experiential).
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe CS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of creative process, brand standards, and print and digital deliverables.
  • Photography, video, and basic animation skills preferred; understanding of or interest in user experience design (UX) preferred.
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.

Compensation & Benefits :

  • $52,000 starting annual salary with overtime opportunity.
