We are pleased to offer the Neurodiagnostic Apprenticeship Program (NDA) to our active Corewell Health West team members. The EEG Apprentice will be hired as a full-time employee in the Neurodiagnostic Department and will assist EEG Technologists at our GR campuses where they will learn the basics of EEG testing all while working to obtain their Neurodiagnostic Apprenticeship Certificate through Grand Rapids Community College.

Eligibility to be student of GRCC : Candidates need to be eligible to be a GRCC (Grand Rapids Community College) student, which is a must for the apprenticeship program. - Required
About this Unit
The Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Assistants. These individuals work together to set up patients with appropriate equipment, allowing for monitoring and recording of electrical activity of a patient’s brain waves. This in turn allows us to provide physicians proof of any brain abnormalities. The team provides support for Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan and 35 Michigan.
Scope of Work
A patient care support position designed to be flexible to meet specific needs of the department while completing the Neurodiagnostic Technology Apprenticeship.
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Enrolled as a student in a Neurodiagnostic Technology Apprenticeship Program
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days required
CRT-Electroencephalographic Technologist, Registered ( - ABRET American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist within 2 Yrs required
