Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Apply analog and digital skill sets for high and low-tech builds
  • Employ Altium Designer to create schematics and layouts
  • Design, build, and validate hardware through production using our New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Develop hardware with FPGAs, MCUs, and high-speed serial interfaces (DP and MIPI)
  • Collaborate with local and international teams, specifically in China
  • Provide support for NPI activities and mentor junior engineers
  • Define architecture for various projects and establish project scope and timelines
  • Evaluate business cases for BOM components selection
  • Vendor selection for components and hardware bring-up
  • FPGA programming and collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Deliver technical documentation for sales/marketing
  • Possibility of international travel

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic and layout creation
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DisplayPort, MIPI, and HDMI
  • On-site work at our Cary, NC facility is required
