Awardco is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer who can provide insights, strategic direction, and guidance to the business through reporting and analytical functions. Key responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying dashboards using enterprise-level reporting and analytic platforms in order to help us better understand our business, improve our products, and accelerate growth. This role requires expert-level SQL skills and broad analytical capabilities. This individual will also work with business stakeholders to define business reporting requirements and produce robust analyses.
The company will look to them as a technical authority on matters related to data and reporting, where they will ensure that we follow best practices and apply correct and appropriate methods for working with data.
The role requires a strong sense of curiosity and bias for action. Due to Awardco’s collaborative culture, outstanding teamwork and communication skills will be critical.
This individual will play a crucial part in the company’s future growth and will be instrumental in further strengthening our data-driven culture.
Responsibilities include the following :
- Provide data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable
- Provide actionable insights for the development of programs to increase customer wallet share
- Work closely with management and their teams to translate business needs to technical specifications
- The Individual must demonstrate deep knowledge of report development techniques in Tableau, from visualization design to top-end performance
- Interface with business partners within various functional & operational areas to understand the business processes and needs around data
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain reports containing key financial and operational metrics to assist our global markets with monitoring the performance of strategic functions
- Performs data analysis, including data profiling and data quality analysis
- Discover, communicate, and offer mitigations for data quality issues
- Write complex SQL queries and participate in code reviews
- Must be able to perform duties with very little supervision
- Provide training and assistance to end users and less experienced BI analysts
- Effectively manage ad hoc reporting requests
Background
Required : The ideal candidate will be a highly competent technical professional with 8+ years of experience in building complex reporting solutions involving various types of data, a strong understanding of relational databases and architectures (including Kimball architecture) and expert SQL skills.
