This position reports directly to the ATI Operations Engineering Director and indirectly to the Novanta EHS Director.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management at the site and compliance to all local, state, and federal regulationsSupport in the introduction, certification and re-certification of environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001Support in the introduction, certification and re-certification of health and safety management system in accordance with ISO 45001Implementation of all tasks and measures within the scope of the responsibility of the EHS Management Representative in accordance with ISO 14001 / 45001Support the introduction of Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteriaMonitoring the effectiveness of the EHS management systemAuthority to issue directives to all employees in the implementation and maintenance of the management systemParticipation in the design and continuation of corporate sustainability guidelines, projects and organizationProcessing, analyzing and managing site incident reportsManagement of safety data sheets and chemical inventoryFollow-up and annual revision of hazard and risk assessmentsControl, analysis and publication of EHS performance indicatorsMonitoring of control measures to achieve EHS objectivesPlanning of quarterly EHS meetingsContact person and coordinator of other personnel with EHS responsibilities at the siteContact person for the Novanta EHS ManagerAdministration and maintenance of EHS intranet / SharePointTrainingAll locations : Together with HR and the EHS Manager, manage all trainings of new and current employees for the EHS initial training, annual repetition training and newly created hazards.General tasksMaintain strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and health, and environmental standards, and implementation of the instructions from the Corporate EHS Manager and GMRequired Experience, Education, Skills and CompetenciesVery good knowledge of environmental aspects / occupational health and safetySkills in methodical and management proceduresKnowledge of industrial and / or medical technologies and devicesQuality-conscious, trustworthy and reliableProcess- and result-oriented, decisive and proactiveTeam-orientedSelf-motivatedCuriousStrong communication and leadership skillsTravel Requirements 10%Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for prolonged periods; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
