Job description

Program Manager III, Networking Implementation Training, Cloud Networking

Mid Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

The application window will be open until at least September 3, 2026. This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.

Note: By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location from the following: Atlanta, GA, USA; Addison, TX, USA; Thornton, CO, USA.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience in network planning, network design, data center design, or network deployments. Experience designing, implementing, and managing technical onboarding or educational programs.

Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with process automation and dashboarding tools. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements.

About the job: A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As the Network Delivery and Implementation (NDI) Training and Onboarding Program Manager, you will own the training and onboarding programs within NDI. You will accelerate the readiness of new hires within Google's global network infrastructure team. You will own and drive a program designed to enable new hires to achieve independent network deployment capabilities quickly, consistently, and safely. You will have a blend of program management expertise, technical understanding of network deployment, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will work cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders and leveraging tools and automation to enhance the onboarding and upskilling experience, ultimately contributing to faster and more efficient network delivery.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the training and onboarding curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage of NDI processes, tools and safety standards. Lead and independently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the network delivery implementation fast track program, critical to onboarding and upskilling network engineers. Define the program roadmap, goals (Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and success metrics aligned with NDI objectives. Develop and manage the NDI mentor pool, facilitating pairings and feedback mechanisms to support new hire development. Apply technical judgment to understand network deployment details, assess trade-offs, and guide program direction effectively with engineering partners.
