A company is looking for a Coder IV, Inpatient (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Analyze physician / provider documentation in Inpatient health records to determine diagnoses and procedures
Utilize encoder software to assign appropriate coding and ensure accurate hospital reimbursement
Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve billing and coding issues affecting reimbursement
Required Qualifications
Completion of an AHIMA-approved coding program or an Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is required
Three (3) years of current acute care or Inpatient coding experience
Proficiency in using encoding / grouping software and Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) is preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and coding guidelines
