Job Summary and Qualifications : As an Acute Care Outpatient Coding Lead, you will perform as the daily contact for coding, DRG / code validation, operational, and general questions from the coding staff, Health Information Management Service Center (HSC) staff, and shared service center departments. You will also provide support to coding leadership by coordinating coding and education activities within the HSC. You will work to achieve and maintain overall company-defined department goals. You will also verify complete, accurate, and consistent coding and DRG code validation resulting in appropriate reimbursement, data integrity, and minimal variation in coding practices.
