Job description

Program Manager - Power

At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists. That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.

We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward. We believe electricity powers modern life. As part of our Power sector, you'll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered as global energy demands grow. From massive data centers to modernizing transmission systems, our industry-recognized engineers and scientists have been at the forefront of grid transformation for more than a century. You'll work side-by-side with these experts and contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems, helping communities thrive and industries expand. This isn't just a job, it's a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.

The Program Manager - Power will be an executive level team member on the front line with the client, program management teams and construction teams to help shape delivery of a multi-year, multi-million dollar alternative delivery program which has the ability to positively impact power generation and delivery across New York / New Jersey. • Monitor team performance and establish robust QA/QC program to ensure all services provided meet client expectations.
  • Anticipate and identify potential issues and risks that may impact program implementation, and assist the client with problem solving, issues resolution, risk mitigation and timely decision making.
  • Develop and apply processes and tools to drive efficiencies, control outcomes and promote accountability.
  • Build client relationship with the goal of becoming their long-term trusted advisor.
  • Contribute to HDR's program management growth strategy.
  • Mentor and train staff while executing the program.
  • Perform other program management related duties as needed
