Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Reporting & UAT Analyst with strong SQL development, data validation, reporting, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) skills. The ideal candidate will have healthcare payer experience, particularly with Medicaid or Medicare data, and hands-on experience working with Teradata data warehouse environments.

This role will review technical design documents, identify requirement gaps, map data across interface systems, develop test scenarios, validate reports, and coordinate issue resolution across business, QA, development, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities Data Analysis, SQL & Reporting

• Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries against Teradata data warehouses.

• Develop scheduled and ad hoc operational and analytical reports.

• Perform data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Translate business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.

• Analyze data discrepancies, identify anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.

Data Testing & UAT

• Design, execute, and document test cases, test plans, and data validation scripts.

• Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across data pipelines, ETL processes, interfaces, and reports.

• Build test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

• Review design documents and proactively identify requirement gaps, data mapping issues, and potential risks.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, and developers on pre-production and post-go-live issues.

• Track defects and issues through resolution, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow-up.

• Demonstrate reporting solutions and test outcomes to internal teams and project stakeholders.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as a technical liaison with data warehouse vendors and internal IT teams.

• Investigate data-loading issues, performance bottlenecks, and database-related problems.

• Coordinate with database administrators, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve technical issues.

• Support project documentation, workflows, implementation activities, and cross-team coordination.

Data Governance & Documentation

• Maintain documentation for data definitions, reporting logic, test procedures, data mappings, and warehouse schemas.

• Support data governance, quality assurance, and reporting standardization.

• Document findings, issue resolutions, and recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with Medicaid or Medicare data or related healthcare payer environments.

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, UAT Analyst, or in a similar role focused on SQL development and data testing.

• Advanced SQL skills, particularly in Teradata environments.

• Experience with Teradata SQL Assistant, BTEQ, and SQL performance tuning.

• Hands-on experience developing test plans, test cases, and data validation procedures.

• Experience identifying data discrepancies, validating reports, and investigating data-quality issues.

• Experience collaborating with third-party vendors, database administrators, infrastructure teams, or development teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal Medicaid policies and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Experience with CMS policy implementations, Medicaid expansion, eligibility changes, or unwinding initiatives.

• Experience working with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment data.

• Familiarity with healthcare payer data, including claims, encounters, health plan operations, and clinical quality data.

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other data visualization tools.

• Working knowledge of SAS, data mining, statistical validation, and predictive modeling.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience supporting large-scale, time-sensitive projects and communicating complex findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
