Medical Clerk - Full Time - La Porte (TX), United States

Your main tasks and responsibilities :
- Coordinate and schedule pre-employment medical testing for prospective employees, including but not limited to drug screenings, physical examinations, and other required tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
- Collaborate within the Health and Safety department to ensure compliance with records retention policies and regulatory requirements related to pre-employment testing.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external medical providers, and candidates to facilitate the testing process and ensure timely completion of requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of processes to streamline pre-employment testing procedures and improve efficiency.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping tasks related to medical documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need :
- Previous experience as a medical clerk, medical assistant, or in a similar role is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Experience collaborating with Health and Safety departments on records retention and testing compliance is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
