This senior program manager will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of program cost, schedule, and technical performance for high-visibility efforts in the electromagnetic warfare (EW) domain. The position also requires direct engagement with government leadership, mission partners, and functional teams to identify program risks, recommend courses of action, and ensure timely delivery of required outputs and deliverables.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide program oversight from planning stages through inception, execution, and completion
  • Serve as a primary interface with government customers and stakeholders for assigned program activities
  • Lead or support program reviews addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, risks, and mitigation actions
  • Provide team tasking clarification, guidance, and direction to support customer-required outputs and deliverables
  • Develop, review, and coordinate program reports, acquisition analyses, assessments, briefings, and decision-support materials
  • Support technology development planning, acquisition planning, requirements development, and program integration activities
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor program risks, issues, and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate across technical, operational, acquisition, financial, and administrative stakeholders to maintain program alignment
  • Assist with long-range planning, milestone development, schedule tracking, and resolution of program execution issues
  • Support multi-program or portfolio-level planning and funding advocacy in alignment with customer priorities
  • Contribute to the development or expansion of customer support deliverables through responsive, mission-focused execution
  • Prepare senior-level briefing materials and support engagements with leadership across the Air Force, Joint community, and other DoD stakeholders
  • Support requirements, test, evaluation, and transition activities associated with advanced electronic warfare and related capability efforts

Desired Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will bring senior-level defense program management experience combined with the ability to operate effectively in high-visibility customer environments. Competitive applicants will demonstrate a background in acquisition oversight, requirements development, budget advocacy, program execution, and senior-leader communication. Experience supporting EW programs, advanced capability initiatives, operational mission integration, and/or special access/high-priority mission environments is especially valuable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant progressive experience; or Master's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant progressive experience; or High School Diploma/equivalent and 12 years of relevant progressive experience
  • Experience developing solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity, creativity, and sound judgment
  • Experience making decisions related to program execution, customer requirements, and workforce support in accordance with organizational policy
  • Full working knowledge of program management procedures and practices
  • Proficiency with standard desktop tools including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and email applications
  • Active TS/SCI
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition, program management, requirements, or capability development efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and decision-quality staff products
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with senior government, military, and contractor personnel

Preferred Attributes/Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting electronic warfare, advanced capabilities, strategic integration, ISR, test, or weapons system programs
  • Familiarity with the DoD 5000 Series Adaptive Acquisition Framework
  • Experience with Plans, Programs, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Program Objective Memorandum (POM), or Fiscal Year Defense Program (FYDP)-related activities
  • Experience with requirements document development, staffing, and coordination
  • Experience serving as a program element monitor, action officer, or command-level point of contact for complex defense programs
  • Experience supporting risk management, acquisition planning, and program review processes
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed stakeholders or multi-location program activities
  • Operational military aviation, intelligence, electronic warfare, test, or tactics-related experience is highly desired
  • Graduate-level military education, weapons school, requirements management, or related defense certifications are a plus
