Job descriptionYou have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. You have 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or recycling operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. You have experience in metal processing, scrap handling, or materials recovery is highly preferred. You have proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage conflict, and drive performance. You have strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Job Description
As the Plant Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all operations with within the facility, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance.
What you're responsible for :
- Overseeing production quotas and schedules, ensuring inventory and shipments targets are met.
- Collaborating with purchasing department to verify, review, maintain and report on materials and production inventories.
- Facilitating and authorizing repairs or maintenance for production tools and equipment.
- Serving as a role model, support, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and practices.
- Ensuring that employees comply with applicable safety regulations.
- Preparing work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintaining equipment and creating and improving processes.
- Ensuring that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
- Operating and training employees on operation of computer scale systems, forklifts, balers, and other processing equipment.
- Conducting monthly inventory alongside different departments.
- Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees with the assistance of human resources.
- Performing other duties as required, including, but not limited to operating heavy equipment used in recycling
